No news is good news, two months down.

I've allowed three weeks to pass without an entry and I'm feeling like I owe you an update. Its not like there's a lot to report. I still see the doctors regularly, although the visits have gone from every week to every other week to once a month so that would be the most significant news regarding the specifics relative to my kidney transplant.

My meds keep getting tweaked as well. I've had issues with both magnesium and phosphorus so I've been on supplements for those. My omeprazole that I've taken for the last several years apparently has the negative impact of robbing my body of magnesium so they've swapped that out to a different but similar option. Also my peeing at night was back on the rise, especially with all of the water they wanted me to drink. At one point I was peeing every hour and 15 minutes, which is great for a body whose kidneys were only making enough urine to pee three times a day about a quarter of a cup each time, but its ridiculous if you want restful sleep. They've added flowmax to my list of meds so we'll see how that works. But I'm also back to work and when I work I start drinking less because I'm too focused on the work to take notice that I'm not drinking enough. So even before starting the flowmax I started peeing less.

I've already shared this news on Facebook but I'll add it here as well. On the 28th I'll be going into Salem Hospital for a procedure called Cardioversion. This is to help reset my heart because I've had a mild case of AFib since about two weeks after the transplant (although the doctors say its been there for a while, I tend to disagree). The AFib causes my heart to have a noticeably unusual flutter, like when that girl you've admired from afar walks into your office and says good morning to you... not that that's happened in my world in a very long time. Anyway there's a video you can watch here to see what I'm in for.

Well... I know its not much, but in my world no news is generally good news. Also this was supposed to be posted on the 22nd of December, but my internet at work stopped working just after I finished typing it... and I never managed to get back to it at home over the busy Christmas weekend.
